Under limited supervision, this individual will help create and reinforce best practices for messaging services initiatives. The Messaging Engineer will support and use sound problem solving skills to align with unified communication related business solutions that are in place at Fiserv. Candidate should be competent to work at a high technical level during all phases of a solution implementation and able to support the solution through transitions. May provide guidance and training to less experienced support personnel. Responsibilities • Provide operational support for internal customers using messaging and related services, including moderately complex support issues. • Assist the operational teams with root cause analysis and solutions to moderately complex production issues. • Produce application and user documentation for all services created within the messaging services environment. • Identify potential issues in the production environment and help recommend potential solutions. • Receive and respond to incoming calls, texts, and/or emails regarding messaging problems providing 2nd and 3rd level support. • Analyze, diagnosis, and resolution of complex messaging problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective hardware and software solutions, including off-site repair. • Ensures that security procedures are implemented and enforced. • Ensures compliance with network policies, procedures and standards. • Work with the server team to maintain system backups and recovery processes Requirements Education Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent. Experience Required 3-5 years supporting Microsoft Exchange 2-4 years supporting OCS / Lync 2-4 year PowerShell scripting/ administration Technical Skills • Good communications, writing and editing skills needed to transfer information to individuals involved in the development process. • Good project leadership skills. • Acquire/enhance applications expertise, keeping up with evolving applications and related technologies • Excellent knowledge of technologies involved in messaging and unified communications. • Experience with BlackBerry, Sun One Directory, AirWatch and Active Directory is a plus • Experience with IronPort and Sendmail is a plus General Skills • The ability to successfully and positively interact with internal and external client • The ability to express complex ideas to non-technical people, as needed. • Strong verbal and written communication skills; must work well in a team environment; capable of writing reports, diagrams, project plans and technical documentation • Strong analytical skills and the ability to perform logical problem solving quickly and completely • Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow through on assignments. • An appreciation for the difference between production and development environments. • The ability to interact with external, as well as, internal clients for the purpose of obtaining and delivering information. • Excellent organizational, leadership, decision making and communications skills. • Str   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
