Work with department personnel of all levels to identify system requirements, plan, design, and develop complex Java computer applications and data integration between systems. Work in varied technical environments including web-based technologies, Oracle, SQL server, client-server, on-line and/or batch processing. Work as a member of system development teams under direction of project manager as needed. Maintain and support existing Java applications. Work independently to solve problems with production systems. Provide situational leadership to other BTM team members as appropriate. Programming, implementation, and support of web computer solutions for the business community using DOC-standard programming languages. Develop prototypes using JSP and HTML, following proposed design or to demonstrate recommended approach for approval. Develop user interfaces using Json and Jquery. Perform unit testing using JUnit. Build and deploy web applications using Hudson and Ant. Program application components using Java on the Springs, Stuts2 and Hibernate frameworks. Develop test data and demonstrate validity of the application component. Debug errors and continue testing until all known errors are corrected. Compile and link application components as necessary using compiler software. Develop and write detailed specifications explaining the design and operation of computer applications. Develop on-line interactive help functions as part of the Java web applications. Prepare and/or review requirements documents and specifications for enhancements to application components. Document system support procedures. Knowledge of Windows7 operating system; Experienced in using SQL and Oracle 10 & 11databases, SQL and PL/SQL functions, SQL Server Management Studio 2008, HTML, JavaScript and CSS; Java, JSP, Json, Jquery and JUnit; Spring, Struts 2 and Hibernate frameworks; Hudson and Ant; Eclipse, Tomcat and TOAD 9.5 & 10.1; Well versed in problem solving techniques and software testing.
