Using already defined data mapping documents and legacy data models the analyst will plan, develop, test, and document rules for extracting data to be used in a new system that is currently under development by applying knowledge of programming and data analysis techniques. Consults with business and technical staff to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives. Formulates plan outlining steps required to develop programs, using methodologies such as structured analysis and design, object-oriented development and writing pseudo code. Writes documentation to describe scripts used for data conversion and migration, program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Captures requirements using industry standard development frameworks and tools. May designs reports, forms and letters along with computer terminal screen displays to accomplish goals of user request. Reviews results with users. Reads program output or observes display screen to detect syntax or logic errors during testing, or uses diagnostic software to detect errors. Replaces, deletes, or modifies codes to correct errors. Analyzes, reviews and alters scripts / program to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements. Assists users to resolve conversion problems. Recreates steps taken by user to locate source of problem and rewrites scripts / program to correct errors. May provide technical assistance to program users. May specialize in developing programs for business or technical applications. Skills and knowledge: • Experience with data on migration projects, including product upgrades, system replacement projects • Experience writing SQL and pseudo code • Ability/experience consulting with business, technical staff and product vendor to determine general approach and detailed steps in migrating data from legacy systems to new systems under development. • Ability/experience developing documentation to describe the steps in extraction, transformation, and migration of data from one system to another. • Experience working with data models • Experience as a data analyst, or other data management role Required Skills: * SQL * Data Conversion * Data Entry Experience * Documentation * Data Analyst * Data Migration   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
