Analyzes facility reporting patterns and conducts follow-up calls to under-reporting facilities and new facilities to ensure data is reported on a timely basis. Evaluates WCRS output and reports for accuracy and policies and procedures for quality. Identifies differences between WCRS/standard setter data requirements and cancer reporting facilities and requires conformity to data standards and specifications. With the evaluation and monitoring of data quality issues, identifies and applies best practices. With the WCRS team, develops an action plan for onboarding clinics electronically that are currently not reporting or are under-reporting based on evaluation of under and non-reporting trends. Works with WCRS team to document and evaluate the action plan on a continual basis, to ensure that the appropriate steps are taken. Documents facility reporting information and liaises between cancer reporting entities and WCRS staff. Administers, develops, and coalesces surveys and survey information, in order to document and understand the structure, composition and workflow of reporting entities. Evaluates workflow and software procedures used to verify that programs function according to state and conform to national and state standards and best practices. Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards for program design and product evaluation to attain quality of reporting. This includes analyzing non-hospital data-submission processes in order to recommend procedures to more efficiently accomplish the data collection, editing, and report generation processes, and to help test and implement electronic data submission systems. Quality Assurance Analyst capabilities with approximately 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. This TAPFIN contractor will be dedicated to the evaluation of program effectiveness of WCRS operations and for developing and carrying out onboarding and quality assurance, to maintain and establish non-hospital and underreporting facility compliance with complex State and Federal cancer reporting requirements and regulations. The contractor will work directly with physicians, hospitals and clinics to onboard them and to validate incoming cases, and to develop methods to improve reporting compliance. This includes regular involvement in data processing activities with strict adherence to standards associated with the handling of confidential data. This also includes analyzing facility reporting patterns and conducting follow-up calls to under-reporting facilities and new facilities to ensure data is reported on a timely basis (which depends on several factors, including the Call For Data submitted annually to CDC, the reporting facility caseload volume and size, the reporting history of the facility, and so on). This service will develop and implement procedures and methods to evaluate the WCRS program for non-hospital reporting and under-reporting facility operational issues and identify data analysis procedures.
