Description : The business analyst (BA) is responsible for facilitating the communication with IT staff and business customers to assist in the development, implementation, and support of web based applications. Experience working on agile projects is required. The incumbent will work on a multi-year, multi-phase modernization project of W-2 legacy systems. The BA will understand business objectives and problems, and identify alternative solutions. The incumbent will manage the balance between business requirements and user expectations, while being a liaison between users and technologists to drive requirements to design. The incumbent will assist in quality assurance testing about 50% of the time. Responsibilities include project work, troubleshooting and resolution of issues efficiently; identify areas of improvement, testing and special projects as required. Essential Job Duties: ? Experience working on an Agile development team ? Strong facilitation skills of small to large groups including knowing when and how to regain group focus and use of the parking lot ? Ability to adjust presentation and facilitation approach suitable for executives and workers alike ? Ability to “tell the story” using verbal and visual approaches ? Holistic knowledge of the overall requirements process, business and technical ? Prior use of requirements tools and experience/demonstrated knowledge of how they may interact with applications used for management of bugs, issues, testing (manual and automated), design and development ? Ability to quickly understand business drivers, model existing processes and facilitate and guide business constituents to developing future state requirements, rather than solutions ? Adaptability and flexibility when working with multiple clients with varying degrees of knowledge and ability/availability to participate. In other words, ability to be creative in helping clients provide the requirements and detail needed ?
