Description: The Security Analyst 3 Contractor provides advanced operational support for Identity and Access Management (IAM) and information security functions within a large enterprise environment. This position is responsible for processing security requests and incidents, coordinating user access activities, supporting onboarding efforts, and assisting with compliance and project initiatives. The majority of work is focused on day-to-day operational support, including ticket management, access provisioning, incident resolution, and coordination of COPS academy classes. The position also assists with security-related projects, audits, compliance activities, and other duties as assigned. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Process and resolve security-related requests and incidents in accordance with established service levels and procedures. • Provision, modify, and remove user access across multiple systems, applications, and Active Directory environments. • Coordinate onboarding activities for COPS academy classes, including account creation, access validation, and related setup activities. • Investigate and troubleshoot access, authentication, authorization, and account-related issues. • Document work performed and maintain accurate records within the ticketing system. • Participate in compliance initiatives, audits, access reviews, and evidence collection activities. • Assist with the implementation and support of security controls, policies, standards, and procedures. • Support Identity and Access Management projects and operational improvement initiatives. • Collaborate with business units, technical teams, and external partners to resolve issues and fulfill requests. • Assist with testing, validation, and deployment activities for security-related projects. • Develop and maintain process documentation, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures. • Provide customer service and technical guidance to end users and stakeholders. • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Required Knowledge and Skills: • Experience supporting Identity and Access Management processes. • Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and user provisioning concepts. • Understanding of authentication, authorization, and role-based access principles. • Experience working with ticketing and service management systems. • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technical and business teams. • Preferred Qualifications: • Experience supporting information security or IAM operations in a large enterprise environment. • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST, CJIS, HIPAA, or similar regulatory requirements. • Experience with PowerShell or other automation tools. • Experience supporting onboarding, account lifecycle management, and access governance processes.
