These areas include, but are not limited to: maintenance for numerous tactical and strategic projects; coordination and support of project teams (e.g. small or large group meeting planning, communication and data management), and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. This position also participates in a communications capacity within the scope of the project areas position is involved with. GOALS AND WORKER ACTIVITIES: - Participation on project management teams as needed, coordination and assistance of the activities of business and technical users to implement solutions that will improve processes and procedures in the department. - Maintain strong working relationships with the business community and applications development staff to assure effective communication and to ensure tasks and responsibilities are assigned and deadlines met. - Maintain an understanding of all IT and business projects including but not limited to timeline, business requirements/specifications, budget and deliverables. - Performance of special assignments, consultation, and/or support of PMO and OEI initiatives and participation in, and coordination of, employee development programs. - Carry out special assignments to respond to the needs of Department management and the divisions. - Prepare special reports and recommendations as required. - Provide support for project teams on use of automated tools adopted by the Department (e.g. SharePoint and JIRA) to assist in the preparation of project deliverables. - Assist in the development of standards and procedures to enable effective, productive, and successful projects. - Actively embrace the Departments values and fully incorporate them into tasks, job performance, and service to customers. - Develop and maintain program and/or system documentation to allow for ease of function, process, or program modifications.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
