We need a very experienced software distribution technician to design and implement the tools and processes for distributing and patching software to our 400 PCs. We have an immediate project to revamp this entire process, including selecting some of the tool kit. Must be dedicated to customer service, reliability, and security. Must be able to create, follow, and train others in a repeatable process from inception, to testing, to user communication, and rollout of a change. Supports and installs software applications, infrastructure and development tools. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Software Engineer capabilities with 8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work as a member of a team Oral communication skills Written communication skills Customer service skills Ability to interact positively with a variety of persons at different levels within and outside the organization Knowledge of desktop administration techniques Knowledge of replicating PC configurations (imaging) Knowledge of automated software distribution and patching systems Knowledge of desktop hardware and software inventory tools Knowledge of workstation anti-virus software Knowledge of Windows 7, Windows 8.x, Windows XP, and DOS Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2013 including Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, InfoPath, Photo Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Group Policies Knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating system patching Knowledge of PC hardware Knowledge to install, configure and test personal computer operating systems and application software Ability to install, configure, and test networked peripheral hardware including printers, scanners, etc. Knowledge of helpdesk functions and procedures Ability to isolate and resolve computer hardware and software problems   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
