This agency utilizes an application portfolio that contains critical (but older) Microsoft (MS) .NET applications and systems; as part of an ongoing IT Modernization effort the desire is to incorporate newer MS technologies and functionality into their application portfolio. This includes technologies such as MS Dynamics CRM and SharePoint within an upgraded and technologically current .net framework. This position will provide development and support as part of the introduction and expanded use of these technologies. The position will require re-engineering, design and full development and maintenance skills using new technologies such as MS .NET Framework, Microsoft Dynamic CRM, SharePoint, Visual Studio 2013, SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Integration Services. Using industry-standard best practices, the position will include requirements gathering and customer interaction, analysis, design, development of new web applications using the latest MS technologies, and daily maintenance, upgrade and support of existing .net applications. While performing these duties, the position will also mentor state staff. Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications, including software infrastructure and development tools. Supports and/or installs software applications, infrastructure and development tools. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Software Engineer capabilities with 8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
