Description : Certified Project Manager III Job Duties The Division of Early Care and Education (DECE) has a need for a Certified Project Manager III position. The project manager will be supporting various projects and programs related to the Preschool Development Grant (PDG) and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The project manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the allocation of contracts, grants, and internal services to meet the goals of programs and DECEs overarching vision that all children have access to high-quality early care and education. The position will require an individual with excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as, have an ability to work with minimal direction and oversight. The selected candidate in this role must have a strong background in project management, including experience in running business area projects. The ability to think critically and problem solve are essential. Project management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is required. Candidates will be required to provide proof of certification to be considered. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Project management functions across all DECE identified projects, including oversight of workplans, timelines, and evaluation efforts. • External & internal stakeholder engagement – communicate project status to Divisional and Department Management Teams, workgroups, providers, and Early Childhood Education advocacy organizations. • Develop automated tools to streamline internal processes and make project development and execution efforts more efficient. Top Skills: -10 years of high level project management -In-depth knowledge of system development life cycle deliverables for each phase of development -MS Project software skills -Project management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is required.
