(Start date: ASAP – End date: February, with possible chance of extension) The Unified Identity and Collaboration project consists of two discovery workstreams working with a single vendor to understand the current state of identity and M365 services for 13 state system universities across 26 campuses, and to determine a future state and implementation recommendations. The focus of the discovery is understanding the requirements and effort to establish a single identity for each person and a unified approach to access management across all campuses. Additionally, the discovery project is exploring the requirements and effort to migrate all UW System campuses to a single M365 tenant. The final deliverable is a proposal outlining the costs, effort required, and timeline for a prospective implementation project. The discovery deliverable is due February 2022. Depending upon outcome, this engagement may transition into a longer-term opportunity. Executive sponsors include the UW System Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the UW-Madison Chief Information Officer (CIO). The core team consists of UW-Madison Identity & Access management team members, UW-Madison Productivity & Collaborative Solutions team members, three Project Manager/Business Analysts assigned to campus cohorts, and a contract vendor. Overall-senior level project management: • Leadership, coordination and communication across the project team, stakeholder groups, sponsors, cohort project managers, and the consulting vendor. • Coordinate project activity with the consulting partner project manager, and outline and manage project activities such as tasks, dependencies, timelines, resources and costs. Report on project performance to project sponsors and leadership when applicable. Prepare appropriate written and oral reports, graphs and charts to illustrate project progress, budget, and risk mitigation. Take corrective action as required to reduce risks and mitigate issues. • Identify opportunities to improve project efficiencies and communication strategies. • Manage communications to maintain alignment and touchpoints between the two interdependent workstreams, UW System cohorts, and vendor • Orchestrate the final recommendation deliverable and ensure that the discovery project has provided the necessary information for recommendation options • Relationship building of team(s) • Assist with vendor relationship, communications, and deliverables   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
