Description :

This contracted IT position is needed in the Bureau of Technology Management (BTM) in supporting the mobile application development from all our offender management systems to its applications systems, all state agencies and external entities, i.e., State Local Law Enforcement and the FBI. This position will provide design/architecture, technical analysis, development and implementation of various tasks that utilize our low-code framework related to our mobile app initiatives plus the support of our integration methodologies that utilize reusable APIs (application program interface) along with REST (Representational State Transfer) services/Microservices.

The software engineer will have experience and play a role as a full-stack designer/developer that can build a basic conception of a project, and complete the whole design and development related works. Such as the wireframes/prototypes design, visual design, and front coding, JavaScript / jQuery, etc. The software engineer will also have experience working on tasks that use responsive design principles as more of our solutions require some form of mobility framework. The position will have an overall background of:

• Proven work experience as a web designer/developer.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, VS (Visual Design) and JavaScript/ReactJS for rapid application development.
• Proficiency in Front-end framework: jQuery, React and Bootstrap.
• Programming experience with at least one of the following databases: SQL Server and Oracle
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Experience working with Git, GitLab, JIRA.
• Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
This contractor will assist other integration and low-code developers when appropriate along with performing data analysis, design, development, testing and implementation for task assignments using key standards of NIEM (National Information Exchange Model) and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) along with integrating development processes related to DevOps (Development and Operations). This position will also provide continuous integration and continuous delivery of Java / API (application program interface) based solutions with extensive and performance testing for all rapid application development and integration processes that include both data sharing and application interfaces.
