Description : Milwaukee County is seeking an experienced, high-energy business analyst for initiatives within the Department of Administrative Services - Information Management Services Division project portfolio. Duties are to assist with added deployments of new Human Resources Information System (HRIS) modules for Benefits and other select plans to improve end user productivity. Project length expected to be for 34 weeks with possibility for extensions based on portfolio needs. The candidate will review, study, and assess business processes as they relate to the system and user needs. They will help develop processes that support business strategies. Must be able to converse effectively with users and department management. They will be skilled at finding answers to business issues using process reengineering and technology. Will create user stories with the end-users. The candidate must be at ease with current and emerging technologies and standards. They must be able to follow plans and complete goals on time and on budget. The selected person must be at ease working independently. They need to be able to perform a range of complex tasks. There will be a wide degree of creativity and freedom. Required Qualifications : 1. Five or more years of practice with business analysis or related area. 2. Two or more years of experience working with vendors for interface requirements, data flow, testing, and troubleshooting of issues. 3. Understanding of business processes, process mapping, user story development, and building of test cases. 4. Excellent communication skills including presenting to Executive Leadership. 5. Ability to develop, document and communicate effective business requirements through user stories. These will be used as test cases as well. 6. Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and take on additional responsibilities as required by the position. Desired Qualifications: 1. Six Sigma, Lean or Equivalent Process Reengineering Certification. 2. Prior use of Jira software. 3. Prior experience with Ceridian (Dayforce) or Human Resources Information Systems. 4.
