Description : The IT Business Analyst acts as a strategic partner and technical leader to IMSD clients by analyzing and understanding business processes, requirements & functional areas to allow IMSD to deliver effective technology systems to meet the needs of Milwaukee County. Understands applications, systems specifications and objectives based upon strategic vision, business requirements and service & cost effectiveness. Administers and executes IT projects. Job Responsibilities • Provide strategic consultancy by identifying client business value, goals and short/long term strategy. Provide recommendations for technology aligned with strategy, business functions and IMSD roadmap. Detect gaps in client technology needs to identify key initiatives • Oversee IT portfolio of projects and IT initiatives across assigned functional area (also see Section J). Following standards defined by IMSD PMO, act as Project Manager for projects with limited scope, funding & timelines ensuring solutions are built to meet requirements • Partner with Clients to identify and analyze business processes & needs in order to define & align requirements with technology. Facilitate project intake process translating and documenting client business and functional requirements for review, approval & execution. Understand client technology problems and act as voice of the client to ensure existing technology issues & problems are escalated in order to meet client needs. Work with Help Desk to facilitate resolution. Review & approve technology purchase requests. • Learn & understand business processes & technology for functional areas. Acts as a conduit between client & IMSD. Collaborate with clients to identify areas for problem resolution & process improvement using process improvement tools to achieve resolution & improvements. • . Required Education, License/Certification and Experience • Current residency within the State of Wisconsin required • Bachelors Degree in Business or related field • Two (2) years or more of work experience in team management, business analysis, requirements gathering, process improvement, financial management • Advanced knowledge of all related computer and software applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and Excel required   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
