Hybrid 2-3 days/week on campus Description: This position manages compliance with the University of Wisconsin System Information Security and Information Technology policies, development and implementation of campus practice directives, and governance relations.This position is responsible for understanding the university-wide impact of facilitating policies and procedures, recommending action plans to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), and collaboration with the university governance and senior leadership. Responsibilities also include developing and executing processes to ensure compliance, and providing regular updates to IT leadership team and campus governance groups. A. Policy and Procedure Compliance: 1. Review and interpret University of Wisconsin-System (UWSA) information security and information technology policies and procedures. 2. Draft, modify, and facilitate implementation of ICIT information security policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with UWSA established policies and procedures. 3. Develop and manage process for ongoing review of policies, procedures, training materials, and communication materials to ensure compliance requirements and to prevent violations. 4. Assist CIO and CISO with all internal and external IT audits. 5. Prepare reports for presentation to campus leadership. B. Governance Relations: 1. Collaborate with campus governance groups to modify, implement, and enforce established information security and information technology policies and procedures. 2. Develop materials and presentations for ICIT governance meetings. 3. Coordinate rollout of new or updated IT policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications: • 3-5 years experience as a compliance specialist • 3-5 years of experience as a project manager or related responsibilities • BA/BS in a business-related or information technology field and/or equivalent years of education and experience working in a related field Highly Desired Qualifications: • Experience in a higher education environment • 3-5 years experience in Information Security or Information Technology • Experience with IT audits Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Excellent analytical and organizational skills • Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical staff members of the academic community • Experience with strategic planning • Experience developing, organizing and maintaining a comprehensive compliance program   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
