Job Code CW 00S15J: Successful candidate will be working in a dynamic environment as a Middleware administrator primarily running on the Linux platform. Candidate will be responsible for managing multiple Middleware applications including, but not limited to Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle SOA, Oracle WebCenter, Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle HTTP Server, Oracle Service Bus, MuleSoft, and Drupal in an enterprise data center environment, including providing day-to-day business hour, non-prime on-call, or call in middleware administration support to assigned systems.

Responsibilities:
Installation/Configuration/Administration of Middleware Applications
o The Administrator will be responsible for installation and configuration of Middleware applications including, but not limited to Oracle WebLogic Server (11g/12c), Oracle WebCenter (11g), Oracle SOA (11g/12c), Oracle Business Intelligence (11g), Oracle HTTP Server (11g/12c), Oracle Service Bus (11g/12c), MuleSoft, and Drupal. The Administrator will follow the guidelines from the administrators already onsite when applicable.
Maintenance of Middleware Applications
o The Administrator will be responsible for maintaining existing and future Middleware applications. This includes applying patches to fix bugs, adding new functionality and features, and installing of maintenance releases.
Support of Application Deployments
o The Administrator will be responsible for supporting development teams and carrying out code package deployments to the environment.
Participation in design and staff meetings
o The Administrator will be required to attend in person regularly scheduled team and planning meetings. Participation is required only as it relates to the task the administrator is working with.
Maintain Technical / Design Documentation
o The Administrator will be required to create and maintain technical documentation for the support of the Middleware environments using tools such as Microsoft Office.
Installation, Testing, and Training
o The Administrator will be responsible for testing and verification of all existing and future Middleware environments. The Administrator will also be required to participate in testing with other technical staff and users when the need arises.
Progress Reports
o Progress shall be tracked by the Administrator and Team Lead. The Administrator shall be tasked with specific units of work in the form of sprints found in the Agile methodology. The Administrator will have definitive tasks to record work against for completion within the sprint timeframe (every two weeks). The Administrator will also determine their own work to perform in each sprint.
Utilize Service Desk Ticketing Systems.
Required Skills and/or Product Knowledge:
Duties will include 60% Middleware administration and 40% application support
Demonstrated success in advance troubleshooting skills in the application support area
Demonstrated success in Implementing and maintaining WebLogic and JBOSS application servers to include installing, configuring, and managing all aspects of the application server and all of its parameters
Education: Minimum bachelors degree in Information Systems/Computer Science
Work closely with project team members to understand program office requirements, review design documents, and provide release support and architecture planning.
Use of Windows products: Microsoft Project, Visio, Microsoft Office
Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be able to communicate effectively with core project team members, team leads and client director-level resources.
Working knowledge of High Availability using industry standard methods including Load balancing
