INTRODUCTION AND PROJECT OBJECTIVES Client is Oregons largest regulatory agency. The department administers state laws and rules and protects consumers and workers in the areas of workers compensation, occupational safety and health, financial services, insurance, building codes, and targeted contracting opportunities for small businesses. DCBS mission is "to protect and serve Oregons consumers and workers while supporting a positive business climate in the state." The Information Management Division (IMD) is a central support division within the Department of Consumer and Business Services. The division was established in 1988 to centralize and enhance the departments information resources. IMDs mission is to provide high-quality and affordable information analysis, information technology services, and information management leadership to effectively support the departments programs and stakeholders. DCBS has just finished the implementation of their Microsoft .Net development environment. A core .Net technical team has been trained and we are now ready for a second round of our developers to be trained on .Net development in WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) with C#. We would like to have a focused training given on location in Salem, Oregon in our training room located at 350 Winter St NE. DCBS has evaluated .Net training and most .Net training includes many pieces that we do not need, e.g. VB examples, and Web or Windows Forms architecture pieces. Also, attending a standard, off-site class would incur travel expenses for all participants. Therefore, we are seeking customized, on-site training. Because DCBS has a centralized IT service model, IMDs Stakeholders include all DCBS Divisions. All divisions have a significant interest in the success of this project. B. The Contractor Shall: a. Create and conduct basic .Net/C# training for up to ten (10) staff. (1) Class to consist of three (3) six (6)-hour classroom training sessions. (2) The first class shall cover the C# concepts in the attached Addendum A. b. Create and conduct a basic WPF training for up to ten (10) staff. (1) Class to consist of three (3) six (6)-hour classroom training sessions. (2) The second class shall cover a WPF .Net curriculum agreed upon mutually between contractor and agency. For the second class should include either a couple of small training applications or one large application where the training topics build on themselves. 2. The Agency Shall: a.
